Jim Dale plays Spike Milligan in the first part of the latter's military autobiography. Milligan himself plays his own father. Today Jim Dale looks like Spike Milligan. Confused? Me too. Pedestrian adaptation fails to capture the anarchy and belly laughs of the book, so a disappointment really.
