Plot Synopsis

Q Planes is a light-hearted spy thriller, the story involves Major Hammond of Scotland Yard (Ralph Richardson), who is called in to investigate the disappearance of experimental bombers during their test flights. He discovers the owner's secretary Jenkins (George Curzon) is the 'inside man' but Jenkins is shot before he can talk. Hammond's sister Kay (Valerie Hobson) enlists the help of Tony McVane (Laurence Olivier), a test pilot whose plane is brought down by men in a salvage ship with a radio beam. After a shipboard fight, the gang is captured.
