Plot Synopsis

This prototype train thriller attracted rave reviews upon it’s release - one critic even went so far as to say it was 'the best British picture ever', and Walter Forde's direction was hailed as ‘outstanding'. Murder, and the theft of a valuable Van Dyke painting aboard the Paris-Rome Express are investigated by French detective Jolif (Frank Vosper) - and it seems that almost everyone has something to hide.
